Wish the Whole Family Could Drink Water From the Tap? Now They Can!
Finding the right water filter that will suit your household is a minefield so say the least, believe me my research (and probably yours) has proved that. The trouble is it all seems to depend on what part of the country you live in.
For those of you in inner city areas, you will find water quality much lower than people who live in rural areas. One of the reasons for this is how easy it is for various contaminants to get into your water. All sorts of things seep into the soil we walk on, and they eventually find their way into our drinking water.
Of course, there are various legal requirements with drinking water, but the trouble is other chemicals are added so the water that comes out of your tap is deemed safe. I’m not saying that if you were to drink water straight from the tap that you would end up in ER, but for most of us it just doesn’t smell, look or taste very nice.
This is why I’ve decided to add the iSpring RCC7AK 6-Stage water filtration system to my website, and below you will find out why.
How it Works
As the name suggests, this filter has 6 stages of filtration and without going into all the technical “ins and outs” (which I’m not qualified to do anyway), what you end up with is water from your faucet that’s free of both inorganic and organic contaminants that don’t do your health any good.
You can read all about the first five stages of this model in my review of the iSpring RCC7 5-Stage RO-Filter, but unlike that one and many other models that don’t have the 6th stage, this one does and this where the natural pH balance of your water is dealt with. This means that not only do you get clean, fresh and odor free water, but the alkaline filter also adds to that soft silky feel (perfect for sensitive skin).
Like the 5-stage model, this filtration system also uses reverse osmosis, which for you and I means there is a membrane inside that helps the whole filtration process. This type of system also ensures the “good” minerals you need in water are left behind.
What Do You Get for Your Money
Well, apart from great tasting water that has a natural pH balance, you also get everything you need to install this water filtration system, and that includes a storage tank that will hold up to 3.2 gallons of water. This eliminates the need to wait for your water to go through the filtration system before it reaches your glass. Of course, the faucet that sits on your sink is also included, along with all the attachments you need.
Points to Consider
If you’re not a natural DIY person, it might be worth getting a professional in to help you with the installation. This isn’t because it’s difficult (in fact my research shows many people manage it just fine on their own), but if you want to hook the unit up to your fridge, you might come across a few complications.
The manufacturer recommends you change the filters once every six months for heavy usage, and once a year for light usage, but I recommend getting a water testing kit just for peace of mind (you can find more information about those here on my website).
Overall, if you’re not looking to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars, and want a filtration system that produces a glass of water that looks and tastes just like it’s come out of a bottle, this one is definitely worth considering.
